Most Michigan adults with lower income qualify for FREE health insurance. It is called Medicaid, or the Healthy Michigan Plan.
Apply at MI Bridges — a free account. Have what you can: photo ID, Social Security number, proof of income. Don't have everything? Start anyway. You can also apply by phone: 1-855-789-5610.
Want a real person to help you apply, for free? Call the Washtenaw Health Project and make an appointment. They fill out the forms with you, step by step.
Income too high for Medicaid? Go to healthcare.gov — many people qualify for big discounts on insurance.
Need care now, without insurance? Hope Clinic is free. Packard Health charges based on what you earn. Corner Health sees young people ages 12–25.
