I Need Help With Probation

Your court's numbers, monthly reporting links, and tether and testing info — so nothing gets missed.

Find your court below — call its probation line with any question.

Probation would rather you call than miss something. Asking a question is never a violation.

Start here

  1. Know your court. Ann Arbor cases go to the 15th District. Ypsilanti Township goes to 14B. Pittsfield, Ypsilanti city, Chelsea, and Saline go to 14A. Felony probation runs through the Trial Court (state probation).

  2. File your monthly report online if your court has a form. 14A and 14B both do. The 15th District uses a paper form — ask your probation officer how they want it turned in. If the 14A form is down overnight, try again after 8:30 am — that happens sometimes.

  3. Questions about a GPS tether (it tracks where you are) or an alcohol tether (SCRAM)? Community Corrections runs both for the county. There's a $25 start fee plus unit fees — if you can't pay, tell your probation officer or the judge. Don't just skip it.

  4. Testing? Check every morning. County testing: call the recorded line at (734) 973-4605 to hear if you test today. Testing at On-Site in Ypsilanti: check the daily color online. 15th District breath tests are at the Ann Arbor police station, 6–9 am daily, $2.

  5. In trouble or facing a violation? You have the right to a lawyer, free if you can't afford one. The Public Defender handles probation violations.

  6. Stop missing dates: put your report day in your free Toolkit calendar and get reminder emails the night before and the morning of.

Missed a report, a test, or a check-in? Call your probation officer NOW — not after you figure out what to say. Sooner is always better, and a free lawyer can help if it's already a violation.
